Hi, I’m Miriam Ojeda, MPH, CPH.
I am a public health professional passionate about transforming evidence into accessible, community-centered communications that empower individuals and strengthen communities. With a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Irvine, my work combines health communication, educational design, community engagement, and program evaluation to improve health literacy and advance health equity. Based in Southern California, I hope to continue partnering with communities, healthcare organizations, and public health leaders to develop practical, evidence-based solutions that improve well-being, expand access to health information, and create lasting community impact.
Why Public Health?
Throughout my career, I have been drawn to projects that bridge the gap between research and practice. Whether developing patient education resources, supporting community nutrition initiatives, or evaluating health programs, I enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create practical solutions that improve access to information and promote healthier communities.
Areas of Expertise
Community Outreach
Building partnerships with healthcare organizations, researchers, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and community leaders.
Program Evaluation
Collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to assess community programs and improve future initiatives.
Health Education
Creating patient education resources, reports, infographics, presentations, and toolkits using principles of health literacy and accessibility.
Health Communications
Developing evidence-based educational materials that translate complex information into clear, engaging messages.
My Approach
Every project begins by understanding the needs of the audience. I believe effective communication should be evidence-based, visually engaging, culturally responsive, and accessible to all. By combining research, thoughtful design, and community collaboration, I strive to create resources that not only inform but also inspire action.
